Tryweryn 2018

Grade 3/4, 9 cubics release.

After three years with the club and from novice to now, I find myself with Ian and 8 other members of the club heading up to Tryweryn and a grade 4 paddle. Booking into the centre and settled in.

After the initial ‘practice’ rapids, we all proceeded with varying amounts of success to negotiate drops, the graveyard section and several other ‘large’ rapids and drops. We all attempted this section several times to make sure we experienced all the thrills that this section of the river can give. We finished off by following down the river to Bala and some played with some slalom section.

This was an outstanding weekend with every one experiencing new and more extreme water that we had up to now. The members attending were: myself, Ian, Jane, Paul, John, David, Michael, Luke and Alice.
