Annual Gower Trip 2017
On this years trip we had glampers and campers but we all had a good deal of fun in, on and off the water. Our sea kayakers completed a successful trip from Port Einon to Caswell Bay. Whilst our juniors enjoyed the day messing about on paddle boards, with a few of the parents playing beech games. Others explored the beach and rock pools which had an abundance of starfish. Some walked the coast path, climbed or attempted to surf on some pretty poor waves! On Saturday afternoon a few of us paddled kayaks and SUPs across Casewell Bay to the headland to meet the sea kayakers coming in. The sea was full of jellyfish. We returned hugging the coastline, dodging the rocks & exploring the coastline. Back at camp we had ice creams from the beach cafe. All had a good nosh up around the BBQ & a natter.
Sunday brought a repeat trip to the beach at Llangennith where the same activities were enjoyed by all. Around lunch, as the tide turned, the waves picked up and we managed some proper SUP, kayak surfing & bodyboarding. A really enjoyable weekend was had by all, we can thoroughly recommend to anyone, there really is something for everyone!
