Well some of you may be familiar with the famous Town Falls in Llangollen. The included photo is taken from the bridge at the bottom of the high street.
There was a good amount of water in the Dee today, and a blast down Town Falls finished off a grand day out for seven intrepid paddlers. I believe there were plenty of spectators on the bridge, it was certainly a busy day with lots of tourists. However full concentration on the drop ahead didn’t allow time to check them out.
Everyone paddled well, and there were some relieved smiles after successful runs of the Serpents tail and Town Falls. These were somewhat meatier than our last day out on the Dee.
Thanks to Michael and David for excellent river and bank support. Well done Jason, John, Paul and James – the whoops of joy, beaming smiles (and occasional squeal of panic) said it all!
