River trips – The club has paddlers of all abilities and as such runs rivers to develop and challenge those skills. We have paddlers who enjoy flat water paddling, through to those who run grade IV Rivers with huge waterfalls!! Between us we organise day trips weekends and foreign tours.
Our annual trips include a weekend traveling down the River Wye which gives all members an opportunity to canoe and camp on this outstanding British river and during the winter months the whitewater section of the club tackles the River Dart. This is definitely one for the more experienced paddlers and those who have cold weather gear. A number of other trips are arranged as club activities depending on the availability of members.
We also try to get involved in the ‘Doggy Paddle‘ – a sponsored paddle on the rivers Leam and Avon in aid of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Hearing of a paddling tour happening I was really eager to sign up and go exploring some British rivers. Being a few weeks pregnant didn't deter me and Werner and I were quite excited for weeks leading up to the trip. Boats were loaned. Gear [...]
The general ethos for Tuesday and Friday night sessions is as follows: Tuesday Night is Club Night whereby it is the intention to offer the opportunity to join in with either a group doing Marathon Training, a 'touring' group having a social paddle, a beginners/induction/stroke training group based at the clubhouse or, during the summer, white water training at [...]

After conversations with friends, a few other people had the same idea. They met again many times meeting up for chats about possible [...]
